Vhm FONDERIE has been awarded the Living Heritage Company label.
This label, awarded by the French State through the Regional Prefecture and after review by the National Institute of Arts and Crafts (INMA), recognizes outstanding artisanal and industrial expertise. This distinction aims to prevent the disappearance of exceptional economic and cultural talents, which are too often threatened.
This state label is attached to the Ministry of the Economy and Finance and is awarded by the regional prefects.
This recognition is of great value to the entire company. Indeed, it distinguishes Vhm FONDERIE's efforts in deploying highly demanding contemporary technologies while preserving ancestral techniques, thus safeguarding unique traditional manufacturing processes.
Joining the circle of Living Heritage Companies (Hermès, Fauchon, Champagne Bollinger, Laguiole, Lalique, Fonderies de Paris), the foundry and the entire Vhm group are committed to embodying on a daily basis an ambition to transmit crafts and promote French excellence.
Our lean manufacturing approach is driven by a constant focus on providing the customer with a product that meets the expected level of added value. The entire process is continuously reviewed and evaluated.
Our approach is primarily hands-on, pragmatic, and operator-focused.
It concerns:
All this with a view to flexibility, agility, competitiveness and quality improvement, boosted by the power of new technologies.

Our continuous improvement projects (job analysis, problem-solving groups) punctuate the activity and are also an opportunity to develop the skills of operators on continuous improvement tools (VSM, SMED, 5S, …).
Consequently, continuous improvement is an integral part of Vhm FONDERIE.

A French cast iron foundry for nearly a century, Vhm FONDERIE benefits from recognized expertise among industrial clients in the manufacture of cast iron parts, either as single units or in small to medium production runs.
We produce a wide variety of cast parts, from 1 kg to one ton, in various grades of cast iron (GL, GS, alloys) for the following sectors:
The manufacture of technical cast parts is carried out based on drawings or models according to specifications.
Our foundry engineering experts offer co-design and co-development services for your cast iron parts to optimize manufacturability.
To meet the specific needs of our clients, we develop a complete solution beyond the supply of raw cast parts, delivering finished products through additional services such as machining, surface treatment, assembly, and logistics.
Vhm FONDERIE has access to all the industrial tools of the Vhm GROUPE, benefiting from additional skills, expertise, and ressources.
The Vhm Group’s production sites are concentrated in two plants located in Alsace, near Strasbourg.
The 3D printing activity is carried out by Vhm RÉALISATIONS 3D

Our industrial foundry preserves the heritage and know-how passed down through generations since the company was founded by Victor Heinrich in 1923.
Proud of its roots and bearing the name of its founder (Victor Heinrich Molsheim), Vhm FONDERIE is also firmly focused on the future.
We have already begun our transformation toward the factory of the future with major investments in:
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
This move toward the factory of the future reflects our long-standing commitment to fostering innovation and continuous improvement in order to create added value for our industrial clients.
Our plant is advancing toward Industry 4.0 through technologies that are fully integrated into the industrial foundry process:
Vhm FONDERIE has fully adopted 3D printing in its production.
The primary application is the creation of master models for sand molds.
3D printing is also used upstream in the development process to create prototypes, allowing for the selection and validation of several concepts without resorting to the lengthy and expensive iterative cycles of traditional prototyping.
Finally, 3D printing is also used to manufacture production aids. Examples are numerous: positioning jigs for the deburring robot, spare parts (rollers for belt sanders), ergonomic supports, etc.
Beyond cost-effectiveness and time savings, we have embraced 3D printing to design our parts differently. It is transforming our design and production methods and opening up new possibilities.
